Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Hualingniao is a cut-and-sew clothing manufacturer. For the purposes of data protection law, Hualingniao is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

You can reach us at any time at contact@hlnapparel.com.

What we collect

We collect what you choose to give us, plus limited technical and usage data:

  • Quote request form — your name, work email, phone / WhatsApp number, company, delivery country, product interest, estimated quantity and project description. We also record which page of our site the form was sent from, the first page of your visit and, where available, the site that referred you to us (for example a search engine), so we know which pages lead to inquiries.
  • Correspondence — if you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that conversation and any files you send (such as tech packs) so we can quote and produce your order.
  • Server logs — like almost every website, our hosting keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting. These are not used for marketing.
  • Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical browser signals and the IP address when an inquiry form loads, solely to distinguish people from automated traffic. It does not receive the content you enter into the form.
  • Analytics (optional) — when analytics is on, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks (for example on WhatsApp, email or quote buttons), scrolling and mouse movement, device and browser type, and approximate location. Both use the same pseudonymous visitor ID, so we can match a Clarity session replay to its visit. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland this happens only if you accept analytics cookies; elsewhere it is on unless you reject it in Cookie settings.

This website has no customer accounts, comment sections or newsletter, and we do not use advertising profiles or advertising trackers. See our Cookie Policy for the cookies we use and how to change your choice.

How we use your data

  • To reply to your inquiry and prepare fabric options, a sample plan and a quote.
  • To make and ship samples and bulk orders you approve.
  • To keep a record of our business relationship for accounting and legal purposes.
  • To understand which pages and features help buyers and lead to inquiries, and to fix pages that confuse people (analytics, when it is on).

We do not sell your data, rent it out, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process your data on the following bases under the GDPR:

  • Steps towards a contract — handling your quote request, sampling and orders.
  • Legitimate interest — keeping business records and securing our website, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent — optional analytics cookies and the data they collect. You can withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; withdrawing does not affect what was collected before.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers — the companies that host this website and our email, and Cloudflare, which provides the forms’ bot verification. They process data to provide these services to us. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum ↗.
  • Analytics providers — Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) process usage data for us when analytics is on. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
  • Couriers — DHL, FedEx, UPS or freight forwarders receive your name, company and delivery address when we ship samples or orders to you.
  • Google Maps — the factory map on our contact page only loads if you click “Load interactive map”. If you do, your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address; Google’s own privacy policy then applies.

International transfers

Our factory and email systems are located in China, so inquiring with us means your data is transferred to and processed in China. We limit access to the staff who handle your account and protect it with the measures described below.

When analytics is on, Google and Microsoft may process usage data in the United States and other countries, relying on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Inquiry details are kept while we are actively discussing or producing your work, and afterwards for as long as accounting or product-liability rules require. If an inquiry does not lead to an order, we delete or anonymise it within 24 months.

Analytics data is kept for a limited time: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for at most 14 months; Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days (a random sample, and recordings we mark as favourites, for up to 9 months) and heatmaps for up to 9 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you,
  • correct or delete it,
  • restrict or object to how we use it, or
  • provide a copy in a portable format.

Email contact@hlnapparel.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry data is restricted to authorised staff, and our content management system requires authenticated access.

Third-party links and trademarks

The “Ask AI” buttons open the official ChatGPT, Grok, Google and Perplexity sites in a new tab; what you enter there is covered by their privacy policies, not this one. ChatGPT, Grok, Google and Perplexity are trademarks of their respective owners.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
