What hoodies and sweatshirts do we manufacture?

The hoodie is the highest-stakes category in streetwear: customers judge a brand by fabric weight and rib quality before they read the label. As a custom hoodie manufacturer we build every style from roll fabric on your block, from 320 to 450 GSM, with pre-shrunk fabric so the fit stays true after washing.

French terry or fleece — which fabric should you use?

French terry has loops on the inside and a smoother, cooler hand; brushed fleece has those loops raised into a soft nap for warmth and volume. Both run 320–450 GSM on our lines in 100% cotton or cotton-poly blends, with cotton-poly holding shape and colour better through heavy washing. A 400 GSM brushed fleece looks and feels heavier than 400 GSM French terry, so compare by construction and not by number alone. • 320–350 GSM — lighter pullovers and crewnecks for spring/autumn drops
• 380–420 GSM — the heavyweight streetwear standard with a dense, structured hand

Which construction details come as standard?

Double-lined hoods, flat drawcords with dipped or metal tips, reinforced kangaroo pockets and 2x2 rib cuffs and hem are standard on our blocks, each adjustable to your spec sheet. Ribs are knitted with elastane so the cuff recovers after a hundred washes; pocket bags are bartacked at the openings; hood seams are covered or bound to spec.

• Hood: double-layer, three-panel or two-panel, with metal or brass eyelets
• Drawcords: flat cotton, round polyester, with dipped, metal or embroidered tips
• Zips: YKK or SBS, exposed or reverse-coil, with custom pullers
• Seams: coverstitched or flatlock, side-panel or side-seam constructions
• Patterns and grading through pattern making and grading to your size chart

How do prints, embroidery and wash effects work?

Heavyweight fleece takes decoration well but each method behaves differently on a napped surface. Puff print and chenille patches sit proud of the fabric; high-density screen print needs a flash cure on 100% cotton; embroidery needs a stable backing so the stitches do not sink into the nap. All of it runs through printing and embroidery workshops we audit, with strike-offs approved on your sample fabric. Garment dye, acid wash, stone wash and distressing run with partner wash houses under recorded recipes per style, so a reorder matches your first run.

What do hoodies cost, and what are the MOQ and lead time?

MOQ is 50 pieces per style across sizes and two or three colours. Samples take 8–15 days through sample development; bulk ships 24–30 days after approval, longer if fabric is custom-dyed. Unit cost is driven mostly by fabric weight and decoration coverage — our hoodie cost breakdown shows the line items so you can price a drop before sampling.

Which quality checks run before a hoodie ships?

• Fabric: GSM, shrinkage and pilling tested per lot; nap direction checked at cutting
• Sewing: rib recovery, drawcord bartacks, pocket-opening bartacks and zip function on every bundle
• Measurement: size-set sample measured after wash; AQL 2.5 on bulk against your sheet
• Finishing: puff and embroidery checked after wash; wash-recipe shade compared to the approved standard

How do you start a hoodie program with us?

Send a tech pack or a reference hoodie with notes on fit, weight and decoration. We reply within five hours with fabric options, a sample plan and a bulk estimate. Hoodies pair naturally with joggers cut from the same dye lot, so a matching tracksuit set needs only one fabric and colour approval.
